Wasim Raja Kabir_BLP015_Self Leadership_Sep'12

The question which came to my mind as soon as Anil Sir started our self-leadership class, what does the simple words mean to me. I immediately figured it out; it is the influence on your own self, what we are and what we are really capable of with our lives. The idea is to discover the core within us, we all are born with a selfless core but our conditioning changes the way we think. We have created an unnecessary boundary within ourselves which hides the selfless core within us, which stops us from what we are and develops an unwanted selfishness and an immunity to change.
Building a character scores more than building functional skills. A life without a purpose is meaningless. If we are aware of our purpose and gifts the almighty has given us, strange things can happen to us. We learnt about the word “habit”, remove the” ha bit is still left. Remove the a, bit is still left. Which means that it’s difficult to change a habit, but it’s very simple, the day realize the purpose of our life magic will happen. We will be much self-aware and will be asking yourselves questions, who am I? And am I heading in the right direction.
The word love comes to the frame now and what does it really mean. Love is freedom, love is energy, love is sharing, love is seeing others happy. Love is not just a feeling, love is a positive force, love is the cause of everything good. We are meant to have an amazing life. We are meant to be whatever we are meant to be, just a spark is required. If we realize the things that we want to change in ourselves, we can change the way we are and make a concrete effort to change.
The mind, body and the soul are not separate beings but sometimes the body and the mind are not at sync. The mind asks you to do something but the body does something else. It is because of the ego we don’t listen to our mind, kill the ego transformation will take place. Its only unconditional love towards ourself which can kill the ego. If we don’t love yourselves don’t expect others to love you.
We had an exercise where we had to discuss questions with our partners like who are the people in your life who are the most important and matter to you? What are their needs that you are moved to serve? How can I leverage my strengths and gifts to them. It was very interesting to know from my partner that we shared the same feelings and were disappointed with ourselves.  We had a pledge that we will make a difference to their lives and make them very happy.
Inspire people around you; thank people who have touched your life. Give a smile to people around you. I believe in the newton’s  Law of motion “every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Give love and what you get back is love.
