Immunity to Change- On discovery

Day started with the session by Snehal ma’am and Susie ma’am. We were taught about the importance of understanding stress management and how in everyday life we are facing it.

The symptoms can vary from behavioural, psychological, physiological and cognitive. One might ignore these symptoms as a regular affair but actually they highlight the changes one’s body is undergoing in stress.  The both sides of taking stress good or bad was discussed which identified the level of stress a person can take differs from person to person.  Life is short , live it to the fullest and never lose hope is one of learning’s from the session.

Well, the last statement might seem to be too conclusive. But the essence is if we have to do something and also make sure one is contributing both its thinking and feeling along with it.
Thinking needs to be complemented with feeling to understand the need of change.
The three types of understanding of change are:
1.       Need of change
2.       Want of change
3.       Actual Change

Need to change – this is typical of a person realizing the need to change. It could be because of self realization or feedback. This layer of change is important because it is where a person comes to terms with the situation and realizes the need of change.
Want to change – this is the most crucial of the 3 layers of change. Identifying the need to change is not enough. Having the courage to face it and actually do something to bring about a change is more important. It depends on the willingness of a person to see to it that the change happens and a lot of it depends on self motivation.
Actual change- after having identified and worked on the changes required religiously , it is highly likely that a person would observe changes that are imbibed within us over time. This becomes a part of our own self; as a habit and something we practice unconsciously. It is the result of the culmination of efforts put in behind the need to change and want to change

When we wish to change ourselves due to one or the other reasons, then it needs to be supported with the ability to bring the change and this ability is described as one’s will.
Everyone has a hidden competing commitment and this needs to explored either through self analysis or a series of questions asked to you by some other person so as to put yoyr thinking brain and pumping heart to response.

One thing that I wish to change or develop in myself?
This peeps into your ambitions, needs and wants.  Questions one’s self beliefs and triggers the inner wishes of a person. Layer by layer clarity comes into picture , prepares for the final answer.

What should I not do?
This question lays importance to the things which could turn out as roadblocks in the way to one’s goals.

What is my hidden commitment?
To understand the focus of life is important. The idea is to be consistent in achieving the goal or target set.
Mind gets diverted because of various things built one thing that keeps you on the track is what you are also looking for. Consistency and determination define your ambition. Leader within you should consistently try to increase the capacity of growth.
