Today's Consulting session took place after a long gap. It was a great start to our new year & term. The session was focused on 'How to write a proposal' & how to win it. It is very important to understand the context of the engagement in order to initiate an effective proposal. The context should be made clear & crisp by asking the right questions to the client. In a very structured way we should set:
> Point of departure
> Point of arrival
> Objective of the engagement
> Benefits after the objective is
met.
It is also very important to
ask the client what they expect from the consultants & how can a consultant fill the gap from
current situation to desired situation. After this, we need to work on the Base-Line Logic Sheet to understand the client requirements clearly.
The day ended with lot of group exercises to learn how to put these theories in to practice. A fruitful session indeed.
